It’s been almost two months since Trada’s last update, and we’ve kept busy. We thought we’d give you a glimpse into what has been going on.
When in San Francisco for CrowdConf, Trada’s CEO Niel Robertson launched the Crowdsortium, an organization for crowdsourcing professionals, academics and venture capitalists. The Crowdsortium is working to advance the crowdsourcing industry through best practices, education, data collection and public dialog. The Crowdsortium launched with 75 members and membership is free to those who qualify. Check out the membership page to learn more.
Trada attended Search Marketing Expo (SMX) East, and had a great time meeting Danny Sullivan and other brilliant search marketing professionals. Also, according to our calculations, SMX East outperformed SES San Francisco when it came to guessing the number of gumballs. As our data statisticians proved, the wisdom of the crowd works.
If you didn’t hear the news, Trada is moving into the Daily Camera building, which is our third move this year. We’re excited to have a building we can grow into. And we are hoping to convince our CEO that we need a rollerskating ring.
We’ve launched a new video series, MasterPPC Theater, staring Matt Hessler with insight into paid search happenings. You can subscribe to our YouTube channel to see them weekly.
Trada was featured in a story in Entrepreneur called “The Search Party.” ReadWriteWeb cited Niel Robertson in an article, “Should Your Startup Stay Stealth?” Forbes quoted Niel in an article about startups in Boulder. He was also quoted about how hiring can be thin in Boulder in the Boulder County Business Report. Niel also received an award from the Boulder Chamber of Commerce.
Also, earlier this year, our CEO Niel Robertson spoke at TedX Boulder on Taylorism and the video is finally up. Taylorism is a form of Scientific Management developed by Frederick Taylor.
If you want to keep up with Trada, you can follow us on Twitter (@Trada), YouTube and Facebook. We’ve got even more exciting news coming in November.
