    marketplaces that don’t add a lot of value keep contributors anonymous so that purchasers don’t go direct to them. but in the end these are generally low-paid, low-quality work outputs.

    marketplaces that add value make the contributors known, give them an identity. they let all-star contributors shine. result: higher-paid, higher-quality work.

      Interesting dynamic – you may be right about this. I think where expertise and reputation matter, more transparency will be required/wanted.
