About Us

Trada is Crowdsourced Online Advertising Management

Here at Trada in sunny Boulder Colorado, a happy team of smart people with great style have created the world’s first and only crowdsourced online advertising services marketplace.

What does this mean? In our marketplace, a large community of certified online ad experts work together on advertisers’ paid search campaigns. This crowdsourced approach makes paid search accessible to SMBs, enterprise companies and channel partners by saving time and providing expertise. Plus, the collective wisdom of a crowd of experts brings results a small team or single person could never achieve: scalability, diversity of thinking and attention to detail.

Collage of Trada optimizers and officeWe’re also providing jobs for search marketing and graphic design professionals – Optimizers and Creatives who work in the Trada Marketplace are paid fairly for their work, and they can work from anywhere, anytime: as much as they want.

We have a heckuva good time, and we work hard at Trada. Time is spent building the marketplace, making advertisers and agencies happy, riding Razor scooters (at last count, Trada HQ was home to more than 7 different scooter species, and over 25 scooters total), engaging with our crowd of more than 2000 paid search experts, having important meetings while sitting on LoveSacs, and exploring the the next big ideas in paid search.

We’re passionate about crowdsourcing, new ideas, and making online advertising attainable to businesses large and small.

Trada gumballs

What’s up with the gumballs?

We’re often asked why we have gumballs in the Trada logo. Trada was founded on the basic principle of the Wisdom of the Crowd – that a crowd of people working on a problem is collectively more effective than any one person could be working on the same problem. Harnessing the collective power of a crowd – in our case a crowd of Paid Search experts – is what makes Trada so effective for advertisers in our marketplace.

The classic example of the Wisdom of the Crowd is the gumballs-in-a-jar game where a group of people is asked to guess the number of gumballs in a jar. While the individual estimates vary widely, the averaged guess of each person in the crowd approximates the actual number of gumballs more accurately than the best individual guesser. We’ve tried the gumballs-in-a-jar game and it really works!
