Trada is looking for a Database Architect responsible for creating and managing the data aspects within our database architecture. This person will architect, design and implement complex database solutions for product development and customer implementation projects in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be a driven, insightful team player and a strong communicator that works successfully with cross-functional global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic software development environment and architect the database for a large scale web application
  • Maintain large scale database schema
  • Tune database performance
  • Perform general database administration
  • Author queries for business intelligence requirements
  • Design and develop database

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS with MS preferred, in CS, Information Technology or other scientific/linguistic fields or equivalent development experience
  • 5+ years experience as a SQL database designer, developer and administrator (MySQL preferred)
  • MySQL database tuning
  • Experience with database segmentation and sharing methods in a high transaction web application environment
  • Familiarity with archival, data retirement/retention practices in a high transaction web application environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a rapidly growing software organization
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with talented professionals

  • Excellent technical communication skills
