The Data Warehousing Developer’s primary responsibilities will be to design and develop data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.  These solutions will span from design and architecture of the data warehouse to implementation and maintenance.  The candidate will develop ETL processes and contribute to data reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining the data warehouse ETL process
  • Developing and optimizing data structures that will be used by the BI platform
  • Troubleshooting data issues in the production and development environment
  • Work closely with business users and analysts to understand requirements and data needs and provide solutions
  • Develop API tools to extract information from various data sources
  • Manage reporting database environments
  • Monitor and tune database performance including capacity planning and data retention policies
  • Play a leadership role in the BI group to empower reporting and analysis throughout the organization.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Strong business communication skills
  • 2+ years of expertise in designing and developing business intelligence solutions and data warehouses
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL and an ETL tool
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Self-starter – Ability to take ownership of the data warehouse and develop solutions with minimal guidance
